Seaborne Charter & Tuition believes that safety is the single most important aspect of boating. You can only really enjoy your hobby/pastime/leisure if you are informed and confident, not only in your own ability and the ability of your vessel to cope in differing and sometimes hostile weather conditions, but also (and moreso) confident that the safety of your passengers (family and friends) is genuinely in safe hands when you are skippering your vessel. We firmly believe that professional tuition is an essential pre-requisite to becoming a safe, responsible boater. We also believe that learning can and should be FUN. To that end we have created a Cruise and Learn holiday package. You and your friends and family (to a maximum of four people) have exclusive charter of the boat and the benefit of a dedicated Instructor for the duration of your cruise. Imagine cruising some of the finest navigable waters, encompassing the coast and rivers of East Anglia, the Thames Estuary and across the North Sea to experience the delights of Holland, Belgium and France. You will experience planning your passage, plotting your courses, using electronic instruments, steering your course, entering and leaving numerous marinas, all under the watchful guidance of your dedicated RYA accredited personal instructor. The emphasis on this approach is ‘holiday’. However, you will still cover the full RYA syllabus of your chosen course. The secret is that you will do it over an extended period of time, at a more relaxed pace, doing exactly what you will be doing when you have your own boat but all under the guidance of your dedicated instructor. Your friends and family may not wish to undergo the same level of tutoring as yourself, but they will naturally learn to become valuable crew members as you will all be encouraged to crew the vessel as a team. ‘Seaborne’ – a 42’ Fairline Phantom flybridge motor cruiser – is the ideal vessel for your cruise and learn holiday.
